A Bit About Us
This story all began when a compassionate seven year old girl sat patiently with the neighbor’s barkless Collie in the summer heat and slowly taught the dog to regain it’s voice. Possibilities.
Shannon Kaplan MS CCC SLP is still working with others to “find their voice” and has been working with animals as a powerful therapy partner for over fifteen years. Now Shannon specializes in the education and treatment of newly diagnosed children on the Autism Spectrum through a language development program using movement, specifically movement on horseback, as motivation for language.

Services Available
A.S.K. Therapy Services LLC believes that greater progress and retention of new learning occurs when sessions are fun, enjoyable, and memorable experiences with positive reinforcement and one-on-one interactions.
Services provided include:
Just for Kids: Caregiver Support through education and resources, A.S.K. Language Development Program, Articulation shaping, fluency/stuttering.
Adults only: Caregiver support through education and resources for Dementia and Stroke, Stroke rehabilitation for language and swallowing, cognition, Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
Our therapy sessions are customized to the individual and range from 30 to 60 minutes long. Goals set by caregivers and therapist at evaluation guide the treatment sessions and child’s improvement is documented at each session.
Caregivers have the opportunity to participate in therapy sessions with their child, or choose to explore the walking trails around the facility, or sit and relax by the pond waterfall.
